SRM Announces Appointment of Fausto Lucero as Principal

September 20, 2021 – Austin, TX – Sunny River Management, LLC ("SRM") is pleased to announce that Fausto Lucero has joined the firm’s investment team as a Principal. Mr. Lucero will have responsibilities that span the entire investment lifecycle of SRM’s portfolio companies and will also play a role in supporting SRM’s deal sourcing and execution, financing and strategic business development initiatives. He brings extensive leadership experience advising clients in investment banking transactions including M&A and capital raising, acquisition financing, leveraged and structured finance.

Prior to joining SRM, Mr. Lucero spent 17 years in leadership positions in corporate and investment banking in New York City with a focus on senior client coverage and transaction execution in mergers & acquisitions, acquisition financing and leveraged and structure finance representing $49 billion in deal experience. As a Managing Director with MUFG, he was Head of Latin America Corporate Finance and Head of Power & Utilities client coverage. Prior to that, Fausto was a Vice President at Credit Suisse where he advised clients in mergers and acquisitions and equity capital raising transactions in Latin America. Mr. Lucero worked as an associate at JP Morgan’s North America Natural Resources Investment Banking group and began his career at ABN AMRO with roles in project finance, M&A and principal infrastructure investments. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.A. in Finance from Universidad San Francisco de Quito.
